Chinese–Vietnamese/English–Vietnamese Interpreter

Job description

• Provide accurate Chinese–Vietnamese or Chinese–English oral interpretation and written translation during daily business operations, meetings, training sessions, and technical discussions.
• Support communication between Chinese and local teams across NPI, engineering, production, quality, supply chain, and management functions.
• Interpret technical terminology related to cable assemblies, connector manufacturing, automation equipment, production processes, quality control, and continuous improvement activities.
• Attend factory meetings, customer visits, audits, production trials, and project reviews to provide real-time interpretation support.
• Ensure translated documents meet company standards while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality.
• Assist expatriate managers and engineers in communicating with local employees regarding project requirements, problem-solving, and production issues.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to clarify technical content and ensure correct understanding of manufacturing and engineering terminology.
• Create and maintain technical terminology lists and standardized translation glossaries for manufacturing, quality, and engineering functions.
• Support training activities by translating training materials and facilitating communication between trainers and employees.
• Perform other translation, interpretation, and administrative tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above.
• Chinese candidates must have Chinese–Vietnamese bilingual proficiency.
• Vietnamese candidates must be able to use one of the following language combinations: Chinese–Vietnamese–English, English–Vietnamese, or Chinese–Vietnamese.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; proficiency in Chinese and Vietnamese or Chinese and English is preferred.
• At least 2–3 years of translation or interpretation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with terminology related to manufacturing, engineering, new product introduction (NPI), quality, and production.
• Experience supporting technical meetings, factory operations, or engineering projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; attention to detail, confidentiality, professional communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
