Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE)

Job description

• Conduct supplier system, process and annual audits; verify corrective action effectiveness and track closure.
• Analyze, assess and handle nonconforming incoming materials (NC); drive supplier material quality improvements.
• Handle and consolidate production-line material abnormalities, coordinate supplier analysis and follow improvements through closure.
• Support Purchasing with urgent material shortages by assessing quality at supplier sites and coordinating timely delivery.
• Communicate, train, track, verify and approve supplier SPCN submissions and control proposed component changes.
• Communicate regularly with suppliers on abnormalities, drawing checks and RoHS follow-up.

Requirements

• College diploma or above in an engineering discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a foreign-invested company; previous SQE experience is preferred.
• Able to analyze and respond quickly to incoming quality abnormalities and lead supplier-related issue resolution at IQC and on the shop floor.
• Proficient in 8D, 5Why, fishbone diagrams, FMEA, MSA and SPC.
• Proficient with measurement and inspection tools; able to measure and analyze data accurately and interpret drawings and English technical documentation.
• Proficient Chinese listening and speaking and English reading and writing.
