Equipment Supervisor

Job description

• Manage all automated equipment, jigs/fixtures and supporting equipment systems in the factory.
• Establish and organize preventive maintenance, routine inspection, breakdown repair, preventive servicing and standardized equipment operation and maintenance processes.
• Lead equipment failure analysis and reviews, conduct root cause analysis and targeted improvement to eliminate root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Continuously reduce equipment downtime, failure frequency and equipment-related losses while improving overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Lead new equipment introduction, including installation, commissioning, debugging, acceptance and handover to production.
• Drive equipment improvement, upgrades and line optimization to support capacity expansion, ramp-up and technology/process upgrades.
• Manage equipment records and ledgers, spare parts, maintenance materials and repair/maintenance costs.
• Develop reasonable spare-parts plans to ensure maintenance readiness while controlling cost.
• Manage the equipment engineering team, including work allocation, technical training, capability evaluation, performance assessment and succession development.
• Improve the maintenance and troubleshooting capability of the Equipment team.
• Implement equipment safety requirements and compliance management for special or regulated equipment; identify risks and prevent safety incidents.

Requirements

• College degree or above in Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Electrical Automation, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of equipment management experience in a manufacturing factory.
• At least 3 years of experience managing an Equipment/Maintenance team.
• Experience operating and maintaining automated production lines in the electronics industry.
• Strong knowledge and practical capability in TPM, preventive maintenance, OEE improvement, downtime analysis and equipment failure management.
• Able to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electrical-control faults.
• Basic capability in equipment modification, improvement and production-line optimization.
• Strong work coordination, complex problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Able to work under pressure and respond quickly to equipment issues affecting production.
• An electrician certificate is an advantage.
• Experience managing equipment in Vietnam or overseas factories is preferred.
