Process Engineer

Job description

• Review engineering requirements, drawings and product specifications; assess their application to high-speed data cable manufacturing and assembly operations.
• Develop, review and update process flows, process specifications, standard/work instructions (SOP/WI) and critical technical control points for each operation.
• Establish, evaluate and optimize parameters for processing, assembly and inspection; maintain process repeatability and stability.
• Monitor shop-floor processes; detect deviations from standard methods, parameter variation, technical bottlenecks and defect risks.
• Analyze process abnormalities, product defects and quality variation; collaborate with Production, Quality, Testing and Equipment teams to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Conduct parameter, method and process improvement trials; collect before-and-after data to verify effectiveness.
• Support troubleshooting during trials, pilot builds and ramp-up to mass production; track outstanding technical issues through closure.
• Assess technical impacts of changes to materials, machines, tools/fixtures, drawings or work methods; coordinate validation before broad implementation.
• Analyze cycle time, actual output, bottlenecks and process-related material loss; propose productivity, line-balancing and material-use improvements.
• Work with Quality to develop, review and update process risk analyses and control plans, such as PFMEA/Control Plan where applicable.
• Coordinate with equipment and test engineers to assess how machinery, fixtures and test methods affect quality and output; support definition of technical validation criteria.
• Coach line leaders and operators on standard processes, critical parameters, common defects and approved abnormality-handling procedures.
• Track process metrics; document trials, root-cause findings, improvement actions and validation results; release updated technical documentation to relevant functions.

Requirements

• Good Chinese proficiency for work communication and technical issue coordination.
• Able to read and understand technical documents in English.
• Able to interpret manufacturing process flows, work instructions and process parameters.
• Able to investigate shop-floor issues, collect process data and determine defect root causes.
• Able to conduct or support trials, evaluate process changes and verify improvement results.
• Able to collaborate with Production, Quality, Equipment and Testing to stabilize operations.
• Able to prepare and maintain technical documents, trial reports and corrective-action follow-up.
