Sourcing Supervisor

Job description

• Manage sourcing, evaluation and development of suppliers for production materials, components and services; segment suppliers by category and supply risk.
• Consolidate internal requests and clarify specifications, forecast volumes, delivery deadlines and commercial criteria before sourcing.
• Build a supplier pipeline; issue RFQs, collect quotations and compare total cost, capacity, quality, lead time and payment terms.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, payment conditions and supply commitments; submit proposals for approval under the applicable authority matrix.
• Coordinate with SQE, QA, engineering and production on supplier audits, sample trials, capability validation and approved-supplier onboarding.
• Track sourcing plans and material/supplier qualification milestones, escalating risks of delay early.
• Monitor supplier performance across quality, on-time delivery, responsiveness and price movement; drive improvement actions with stakeholders.
• Coordinate resolution of shortages, demand changes, late deliveries, capacity constraints and supply interruptions; propose alternative sources and mitigation plans.
• Analyze cost drivers and propose savings through negotiations, alternate sources, demand consolidation or improved commercial terms; track realized results.
• Review completeness of quotations, approvals, contracts and supplier records; coordinate data consistency throughout purchasing processes.
• Assign tasks, coach team members, and review execution progress and quality within the assigned sourcing team.
• Report regularly on sourcing progress, supplier status, costs and issues requiring support; collaborate cross-functionally to support production plans.

Requirements

• Good Chinese communication skills for working with suppliers and relevant teams.
• Basic English proficiency.
