Import–Export Business Executive

Job description

• Identify, approach and develop partners on both the sourcing and sales sides of commodity transactions in Vietnam.
• Maintain communication with existing customers, suppliers and partners, strengthening long-term business relationships.
• Understand buyers’ purchasing needs and suppliers’ available offerings to help match supply with demand.
• Help establish and expand stable sourcing, distribution and sales channels for Vietnam-market operations.
• Coordinate commercial information with customers and suppliers to support bulk commodity purchase and sales transactions.
• Support implementation of commodity sourcing and sales transactions in Vietnam, coordinating relevant parties throughout the process.
• Follow up on progress under relevant agreements and contracts and stay in contact to identify emerging issues.
• Act as a communication point and coordinate resolution of disagreements and disputes arising during contract performance.
• Work with relevant parties to address transaction-related issues and preserve constructive customer relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above; no restriction on major.
• Knowledge of import–export activities and international trade transactions.
• Procurement, sales or customer development experience is preferred; bulk commodity sourcing/sales experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Fluent Vietnamese and proficiency in either Chinese or English as a working language. Chinese is preferred, but applicants with strong English and import–export knowledge can also be considered.
• Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation with customers and business partners.
• Ability to expand business relationships, proactively seek opportunities and work under pressure.
• Logical and structured thinking, results orientation and a strong drive to achieve.
• Female applicants are preferred by the client.
